Huān yíng nǐ lái Běijīng!

Huān yíng nǐ lái Běijīng!
Beijing - Modern, modern, modern - and modernizing!

Welcome to Beijing!

This week we are discovering some of the sites of Beijing and phrases for your first trip to some day discover the real capital of China.

While we make-believe that we have gone to Beijing, we will play Chinese sports, try martial arts, make Chinese crafts and cook Chinese dumplings. Campers join two groups - one "house" for like ages and the other a mixed age "family" group.

Year of the Tiger Camp - Mandarin Chinese Camp 2010

Hello UCPS Campers and Parents,

The Year of the Tiger Mandarin Chinese Camp 2010 is up and running. Welcome to all. There was a waiting list after registration closed! THAT is exciting in our first year. Thanks to all for taking this journey with us.

China has become so important in the world that learning the language and something about the country and people is really helpful. Kids who want to grow up and be able to travel and work anywhere with anyone are smart kids! With China as a major trading partner with the US and with 1.3 billion people in China, Chinese language skills are VALUABLE!

So what do we does everyone do at camp?
Follow the stories and pictures below to get a hint.
